Overall, Slipstream is a very nice release in this trio of female Decepticons, and is a great reuse of the Windblade mold realising a lot of the inherent Seeker traits in the design to great effect. Our one complaint is that the face on the robot mode has perhaps too much of a smile, which looks out of place and just a little creepy in an uncanny valley sort of way. Tara Strong is the voice of Slipstream in Transformers Animated, and Atsuko Tanaka is the Japanese voice. Takara-Tomy went with a shiny purple finish, which contrasts nicely with the turquoise used on many of the other sections of the toy. Special mention should also go to the paint on Slipstream. Slipstream also gets new weapons, trading in Windblade’s energy katana for a pair of silver armcannons, which helps to sell her as a different toy and draw in the Seeker connection. Personality Although it wasn't revealed which personality aspect of Starscream she is, she is more evil and cruel than Starscream, which Megatron trusts her better to be his second-in-command. Since this is meant to represent a dimension-hopping Animated Slipstream, the inspiration comes mainly from Transformers Animated, although she’ll look more at home chilling with your armies of Classics Seekers. Slipstream is one of Starscream's clones, and a minor antagonist of Transformers: Animated. The toy features a new head and a new chest / torso, both done to resemble the standard head and body of a Decepticon Seeker. Slipstream is enjoying her first non-exclusive toy release here, as a remold of Generations Windblade.
